Heather Wulfers, licensed clinical counselor and art therapist, has held several positions within the field of mental health service and higher education as dedicated practitioner, faculty, board member, supervisor and current art therapy/neuroscience research doctoral student at Mount Mary University. Recently relocated from Santa Fe, NM her experience is rich with transpersonal approaches, somatic mindfulness and grounded creative expressive modalities at its core.
Heather specializes in complex trauma, mood disorder, and addiction and works with children age 7 and up, adults, couples and family systems dealing with socialization, relational dynamics and life transition adjustment. Using art therapy assessments and individualized directives treatment is designed to regulate the nervous system allowing for new perspectives to emerge, trauma to reconcile and a healthy sense of self to integrate. Bringing patients into a state of coherence and ability to connect is the ultimate goal determining success.
