Dr. Wilson is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in health psychology. She received her Ph.D. degree in Counseling Psychology from Marquette University and has a Post-Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Training Institute in Milwaukee, WI. She completed internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center and has also worked in academic medical centers and outpatient settings.
Dr. Wilson’s clinical interests include adults living with medical diagnoses and chronic illness. She has specialized training using evidence-based interventions for pain and sleep issues. She uses biofeedback, mindfulness techniques, relaxation strategies, and mental skills training focusing on promoting physical and emotional well-being. Exploration of self and relationships, including diversity-related issues, is an important part of her work. She has extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ population and facilitates Safe Zone and diversity trainings aiming to provide a safe space for people of all backgrounds and identities.
